Revolve drives luxury car lovers to next level
Imagine the ease and variety of Netflix but replace binge-worthy shows with some of the most sought-after luxury cars in the world. For Asoka Veeravagu, CEO of Revolve, the possibilities of the Delray Beach-based luxury car-lending service he co-founded with COO Scott Blando, are endless.
Revolve is about reinventing the way in which consumers acquire a car. Pick from a Mercedes S550 and Audi RS7 to a Porsche 911 Carrera S, Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Maserati GranTurismo, BMW X6 M and many others. Revolve is a technology-enabled vehicle subscription service that provides car lovers access to a plethora of A-list vehicles without the anchor and maintenance of a traditional lease.
The growth of the luxury sharing economy continues to flourish with brands such as Wheels Up and the Fort Lauderdale-based JetSmarter, which provides membership to access private planes, and event-lending fashion franchises such as Rent The Runway, an online service that provides designer dress and accessory rentals, and Bag Borrow Or Steal, which is a monthly service that allows users to rent Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton handbags.
“Consumers are valuing access to luxury goods over ownership,” Veeravagu said. “Revolve allows members to drive some of the most sought-after cars on the road with a white glove concierge service. Our clients drive the car for one to four months and then have the ability to access a totally different car to drive.
“Revolve has partnered with a major national insurance carrier to provide an insurance policy to each of our eligible members and Revolve takes care of any car-related hassles, such as maintenance, including the drop off of the vehicle. We will deliver the car to your office or home or whatever is most convenient for you.”
Revolve members also get to assemble a wish list of vehicles they’d like to drive.
“You create a virtual garage of cars,” Veeravagu said. “We’re creating a better way for clients to drive what they crave.”
Right now, the subscription service to join Revolve is $2,000 a month.
Peter Gary, CEO of Pinnacle Advertising and Marketing, is one of the founding members of the program and just traded a Cadillac Escalade for a Lexus LC500.
“Revolve is the best thing ever,” he said. “The ease of use is just incredible. They dropped off the car to my office. I’ve driven a lot of cars and I have always wanted to change cars on a regular basis. I was leasing for 24 months before this, but now I have the freedom to switch cars every few months without taking a loss.”
